Leaves: Fleshy, paddle-shaped, up to 1 in long

Flowers: Pinkish to light purplish with five sepals

Flowering Time: July to September

Habitat: Damp sandy beaches, salt marshes and swamps

Wetland Indicator: Facultative Wetland

Origin: Native to the U.S.
